About Me.

Before We Get Into the Logistics...

You can learn a lot about a therapist from their credentials, specialties, and office policies. But what most people really want to know is: "What will it actually feel like to sit across from you?"

The truth is, I'm human, and I can't help but bring that humanity into the room. I show up with honesty, warmth, humor, curiosity, and deep compassion. I care deeply about the people I work with, and I believe meaningful change happens through authentic connection.

I'm also a direct therapist. If there's something important that needs to be said, I'll say it. If I notice a pattern that's keeping you stuck, we'll talk about it. I won't dance around the hard things—but I'll never leave you alone with them either. I'm the therapist who might say the difficult thing out loud and then immediately follow it with, "How are you doing right now?" because our relationship matters just as much as the insight.

I tend to be a great fit for people who appreciate honesty, want a therapist who will actively engage with them, and are looking for more than just a place to vent. Together we'll do real work, challenge old patterns, and create meaningful change—while making sure you feel supported every step of the way.

If you're looking for a therapist who will tell the truth with kindness, challenge you with compassion, and walk alongside you through the messy parts of being human, we might be a good fit.

FAQ

What actually happens in a first session?

During our first session, we'll talk about what brings you to therapy, some of your personal and relationship history, and what you're hoping might be different in your life as a result of our work together. I may also ask about the people you love, the things that bring you joy, and what helps you feel most like yourself.

Part of the first session also involves discussing safety and well-being, so there may be a few questions that feel more personal or direct. While those conversations can sometimes feel uncomfortable, they're an important part of helping me understand how best to support you.

You don't need to prepare anything, have the "right" answers, or tell your whole life story in one session. Just come as you are, and we'll start from there.

Do you take insurance, or can I use my HSA/FSA?

I am a private pay clinician who can create SuperBills for you to send in for reimbursement to your insurance company. In order to create a superbill, I do need to provide a diagnostic code. As a systems therapist, I make sure the diagnosis is one you are comfortable having on your recorder.
I do not accept insurance.
If you have an HSA / FSA card, you are welcome to use it as a form of payment!
My sessions are $175 / individual $200/ couple, I have 5 sliding scale spots that are all currently filled.

How long does therapy usually last?

Each therapy session is 50 minutes, but there is no predetermined timeline for how long therapy should continue.

Some clients come for a handful of sessions to work through a specific challenge, while others choose to stay for months or even years as they navigate different seasons of life. I've worked with clients for as few as six sessions and others for several years.

I believe therapy can be a lifelong resource, but it doesn't have to be. You are always in charge of how long you stay in therapy. Throughout our work together, we'll regularly check in about your goals, your progress, and whether therapy continues to feel helpful and relevant to your life.

Sometimes people decide to end therapy because they've reached their goals. Sometimes they take a break and return later when life presents new challenges. And occasionally, a different therapist may be a better fit for what they need. All of those outcomes are completely normal.

My role is to help you get where you want to go—not to keep you in therapy longer than you need or want to be.

Is everything I say confidential?

Confidentiality is one of the foundations of therapy. What you share with me stays private, and creating a space where you can speak openly and honestly is incredibly important to me.

There are a few legal and ethical situations where I may be required to break confidentiality, such as if I believe you are at serious risk of harming yourself, someone else is at risk of harm, or in certain situations involving abuse or neglect. We will review these limits of confidentiality together during our first session so you know exactly what to expect.

My goal is always to work with you, not against you. If a situation arises where confidentiality may need to be broken, I will do everything I can to discuss it with you first and help you understand what is happening and why.

For most clients, the therapy room becomes a place where they can finally say the things they've never felt safe saying out loud.

You don't have to wait until things get worse. You don't have to have the perfect words. And you certainly don't have to figure it all out alone.

Let's start with a conversation and see if we're a good fit.
